New Gray T-shirt Knit Wiping Cloth
- Ever wondered how a gray t-shirt is made? Long sheets of cloth are stacked on top of each other. The outline of a t-shirt is cut out of the sheets of cloth then transported to the sewing department to be sewed together. This eventually forms what you know as a t-shirt. During the outline cutting process, thousands of pounds of excess cloth is left over. In steps ALL RAGS! We take that excess cloth, cut it to size (approximately 15x15) to make the new gray t-shirt rags. This material is pre-consumer mill end cotton. Essentially meaning that the rags are t-shirt material that was never made into a t-shirt. If you don’t want to use recycled wiping cloths, then the new gray knits are a great option for all of your general wiping needs. This grade will not bleed color when used with chemicals and they are slightly cheaper than the white t-shirt rags that also don’t bleed. Their low lint and light weight makeup make them great for painting, staining, and all-around general maintenance. Combine all of those great features with the non-bleed makeup of the new gray knits, makes it hard to find a better wipe!
- This wiping cloth grade falls into the non-bleed category. When used with acetones, solvents and other chemicals that could potentially cause color to leave the material, this grade WILL NOT bleed color. If you are just needing a rag for general wiping, you may want to check out a colored cloth option. The colored rags offer a price savings compared to the non-bleed options. If you need a rag that won’t bleed color, this grade is for you!
