New Bar Mop - Seconds
You know those white towels that you always see behind a bar or restaurant counter? Those would be known as bar mops or restaurant towels. The popular 100% cotton bar towels are approximately 16x19 and hemmed on all four sides. Primarily used in the food service, restaurant, janitorial and general cleaning industries, these hemmed terry towels are a workhorse. They have a good absorbency level and don’t leave behind much lint. What makes this grade of bar towels special is that they are considered “seconds.” Seconds are towels that were slightly off from the uniform standard of bar towel when they were manufactured. For example, instead of the towel being 16x19 standard, the bar mop seconds may include a towel that is 17x19 or 16x20. Also, because they are seconds, some may be ALL WHITE and some may have a center-colored stripe, usually blue, green, or yellow. Most would not know the difference between first and second quality towels. The benefit to purchasing the bar mop seconds over the first quality is the price. The seconds are cheaper. If you are just using the towels in an industrial setting or for general cleaning where uniformity is not an issue, then the bar towel seconds are a great option over the first quality towels.
